Price Increase on New Car
Does anyone know the rules around the dealer increasing the price of a car after you've agreed a price? I've just been looking at the old paperwork (2006) for a brand new VW Golf OH bought from a dealer. The price agreed was around £21000 and I've just noticed that the paperwork OH signed about 2 months later for finance…

Using own car for work.
Hi Everyone First of all I must say what a fantastic website, such as good read. Ok.. I'm currently using a company Pool Car to travel from my home address to my place of work. I've been asked by the managers to cost up how much it would actually cost to start using my own car to travel to work. From my home address to…

Kwik Fit guarantee
Kwik Fit want to charge £75 to re-do the front brake pads on a small car. That seems a bit steep, but they do say that for as long as I own the car, they'll replace them whenever they run out. That sounds like a great deal, its an automatic, so the brakes don't last so long with city driving. I know this company can be a…

Car Theft - Cost of Repair??
Hello. Some**** has taken it upon themselves to steal the satnav from my car. I don't usually leave it in there but having just used it I had forgotten to remove it from the glovebox after I got home. Nothing was on show but they took the punt. Anyway, I'd just about come to terms with having no satnav (it wasn't an…

No idea which used car to buy - advice pls!
Hi everyone, I need to replace my current car as it has a few problems and I'm sick of it! I considered buying a new car, but have come to my senses and realised it's silly to take out a finance deal as I currently have some uncertainties about my job (although I think it's unlikely I'll actually end up unemployed). I only…
