Nokia 3G internet phone with buttons on 3
Hi, I've currently got a Nokia 2730 classic. Don't laugh! I love it. It's brilliant for sending texts, making calls, checking Facebook and playing the odd game. Most importantly for me it has buttons that I can press. I can't get to grips with these smartphones where the "buttons" are just areas (areas smaller than your…

Need a non-contract SIM, which doesn't expire.
My elderly aunt has a mobile which is kept for emergencies. As she doesn't use it, or top-up, very often it seems the phone company have dropped her number. Is there a suitable PAYG provider which doesn't require the user to e.g. 'make a chargeable action every 90 days' or some such?? ~impvan~

3G and 4G
I was going to take up the offer with Tesco Mobile of their double minutes for £10.00 a month. I selected the sim I need but the sim deal comes with 4G and my phone is a Nokia C2 which isn't on their list of 4G phones. Does that mean I won't be able to get the deal and use it with my existing phone? I couldn't see any…

Virgin PAYG - the dangers of inertia
Just a cautionary tale for anyone else who may be in a similar position... We have been with Virgin Mobile for at least 8 or 9 years, since their early days (when operators were few, tariff options limited, and "bundles" unheard of). We had unlocked phones and initially signed up to their PAYG tariff. Soon thereafter we…

Any idea why text messages are being blocked
My son is with 3, and has a Samsung S5 on contract. We are all Whatsapp users rather than text messaging, but some of his friends don't use Whatsapp. For some reason, text messages seem to be blocked and not being received by his phone. If I then text him (from another 3 phone - also Samsung, in case that's relevant, then…

difference between LG G3 D850 & D855
Luckily after the festive period and some savings I can finally upgrade and my heart is set on the LG G3 3GB ram, 32 GB, and then a sim only deal probably from 3 as their deals seem to be best for me. Can someone more techy minded please clarify the difference between the LG G3 D855 & D850. . All I can find is no radio on…

quick question from confused oldie-sim only
hi all am i correct in thinking the only way to get a sim only 'bundle' of call/txt/data is to go for a sim only monthly deal, ?? ie. is it possibly to get a sim only deal where you prepay for (200call 200txt 200mb for example) and then just use up this allowance until you prepay again?? regards A

3 sim only contract - Upgrade
I am on a sim only contract with 3 and as I am having issues with my phone contacted them about taking a full contract with them. They informed me that I would have to pay in full until the end off my contract (£154). I do understand the logic behind early cancellation penalty fees in light of full contracts, ie that the…

pay monthly - cashback....risky?
Hi everyone, I'm new to smartphones & contracts, I've had one now for 18 months (Huawei £7.70 pm on TalkMobile). With the exception of 1 month when I was caught out, by not knowing my usage (my own fault) I've been able to stick to my £7.70 limit easily enough. This has helped enormously with budgeting, compared to PAYG.…

Mobile phone newbie - silly questions
I used to have a Blackberry provided by work and so never needed to even think about any of this. Now I've lost my job. Lucky me, Father Christmas brought me a Smart 4 Mini, which if nothing else at least narrowed down one set of options (i.e. which handset). But I don't know what to do with it now. I can't even get the…
