hi all
am i correct in thinking the only way to get a sim only 'bundle' of call/txt/data is to go for a sim only monthly deal, ??
ie. is it possibly to get a sim only deal where you prepay for (200call 200txt 200mb for example) and then just use up this allowance until you prepay again??
regards A

not really, you could looks at https://giffgaff.com/goodybags/7.5pound-goodybag0

I think there are 2 ways.
On PAYG you can buy bundles eg £10 that will give you what you want but will expire after 30 days.
Or pay monthly sim. Where a direct debit comes out your bank account every month. These are better value.0 -
I see some contradiction here.andygodwin wrote: »am i correct in thinking the only way to get a sim only 'bundle' of call/txt/data is to go for a sim only monthly deal, ??

"A bundle" on a pay monthly deal lasts for one month - like any bundle, including on PAYG.0 -
thanks all, but i think i'm right, a goodybag only last for a month, yes you get a bundle of call/txt/data but this runs out... unless you have a monthly goodybag 'contract'..
the PAYG is not a bundle of call/txt/data that you purchase and then use up at your leisure its just a 'bundle' of cash that you top up with and then erode according to the call/txt/data/ charges..

i have a GIFFGAFF £10 goodybag that i got several months ago and have never topped this up as yet and still have £3 on it0

This makes no sense.i have a GIFFGAFF £10 goodybag that i got several months ago and have never topped this up as yet and still have £3 on it
A googybag lasts for a month and can't "have £3 on it".
I guess £3 is your remaining balance that is being used gradually after the goodybag expired.0 -

Yes but i can top up anytime i want. before i got the goodybag i asked them how they worked and you dont need to pay them every month and the, the allocated allowance last the 30 days, but even out of allowance they are cheaper than anywhere else and the funds never expire, like some if you dont use the money it will expire0 -
They certainly aren't "cheaper than anywhere else": http://mobilenetworkcomparison.org.uk/compare/
They are popular mainly because of the data included in goodybags, and even their goodybags don't necessarily offer the best deal now.
Re "expire, like some ", at no network PAYG credit expires. Only bundles do.0 -

Here are some examples from T mobile or EE
Buy a £10 pack and get:
1GB data
400 texts
100 minutes
Text SMART10 to 441
Buy a £15 pack and get:
2GB data
600 texts
200 minutes
Text SMART15 to 441
Buy a £25 pack and get:
3GB data
Unlimited texts
500 minutes
Text SMART25 to 441
How to get a Smart Pack
Simply top up your phone and buy a pack from your pay as you go credit. Text SMART and the value of your pack to 441 (like SMART10 for a £10 pack).
Once you've bought your first Smart Pack, we'll automatically add the same pack to your account every 30 days (you can stop it though). All you need to do is make sure there's enough credit on your phone.
We'll even remind you when your new pack is about to start.0 -
