Cannot close old vodafone account
In October 2009, I took a 2 year contract with Vodafone Mobile Internet. It ran for the two years; I made the last payment and requested that the account be closed in December 2011. I later moved house and life went on until last month, I decided to look at my credit files, and to my surprise noticed this account was still…

Paying around £40 for a monthly contract - is this overly expensive?
I'm in the stage where i'm looking for a new contract/upgrade. Most of the new phones atm (Iphone5, Samsung S4 etc...) involves paying around £37+ to £45 for a 24 month contract. I feel this is quite unreasonably expensive. What you guys reckon? Currently i'm paying £25 for a contract and in the past few years when i look…

At present I have an old mobile phone on Orange PAYG and I make only a few calls and texts per month. An average month would be £3/4 in calls and texts as we have free…

Mobile contracts
With a normal pay monthly contract, are you actually paying in advance each month for the calls/texts/data as per your tariff? I'm talking about 18 or 24 month tariffs by the way. Thanks, B.

Virgin Mobile Tethering Iphone 4 to Mini Ipad
I currently have a sim only deal from Virgin with 1gb data per month. Am looking at purchasing a wi-fi only Ipad mini and was wondering if I could tether phone to Ipad. Unsure as to whether this would come out of my current usage or if I would have to pay any additional charges or indeed if Virgin allow this. Any advice…

galaxy s4 credit check passed and rejected
I pre ordered a black galaxy s4 from carphonewarehouse on 28/03/13 and was one of the first 2000 customers so I was entitled to a free galaxy tab 2 and free premium accessory bundle. The tariff I signed up to was the £41 TMobile package of unlimited calls, texts and data. I passed the credit check. A couple of days later I…

Why do mobiles get blocked?
I bought a top of the range smartphone on eBay a year ago. It was a new boxed T-Mobile upgrade and the seller gave me all his paperwork. A year+ later I suddenly find I can't make or receive calls - the mobile is blocked. Several mobile repairers confirmed this, as did T-Mobile in 6 separate calls, but they won't tell me…

I have a 24 month contract with Talkmobile, and I've just received the following text message: "A small inflationary increase of 30p will apply to your monthly charge from your June bill. Mobiles.co.uk cashback - check your amounts
Noticed on one of my contracts through mobiles.co.uk the cashback amount had reduced by £3-£4. First cashback was correct 3 months ago, second one reduced. I saw the change happening on the "My Account" page on their site. Did ask the question to customer services and they replied and answered a different point. Had to ask…

Blocking spam calls on an iPhone
Hi guys I just signed up to MSE. I'm not sure if I've posted in the right section but mods please feel free to move it if I haven't. Right, the reason for my thread is because I keep getting spam calls to my mobile (iPhone) on a daily basis, pretty much twice or three times a day. It only seems to ring for about 3 seconds…

T-mobile pac code and 30 day notice contradiction
T-mobile have a contradictory system which makes it impossible to leave them without incurring a notice period charge. They tell you very clearly that you MUST use your pac code within 30 days of requesting it or it will become invalid and the account will remain open. Then they say that if you don't give 30 days notice…

is there a (cheap) way to end a tmobile contract early?
I've got until January left on my tmobile contract (24m). No serious issues with it, I am just looking for ways to save money really as it is working out expensive. Can I cancel it without them wanting the whole contract's money at once? If not I'll just have to grin and bear it until January. TIA.

I was given some Westfield vouchers for £150 a year ago. I've been too unwell or too short of time to spend it and these vouchers run out in 2 weeks time I just wanted a little advice or few ideas to check out. Obviously I'll be paying over-the-odds as cashback and so on will be out of the question as I can only spend…
