Boyfriend is in the last month of his contract with T-Mobile and so could upgrade from yesterday. Have looked around and found a much better deal elsewhere and so he has decided to leave T-Mobile. Phoned T-Mobile to see what he needs to do to not renew his contract and also request his PAC Code so he can move elsewhere…

Three - paying several months in advance
I recently phoned up Three to cancel a no longer used contract that had 5 months left to run. I was fully prepared to pay the early termination fee. However the retentions dept made me an offer which was to see out the contract and reduce the payment to £25 a month. As this worked out at 5 x £25 versus £160 odd I was…

Hi all! I have a HTC Hero which was factory unlocked. Gave it to the Mrs and she lost it. I got Three to block the phone using the IMEI number. After a while, the phone was retrieved, so I got Three to unblock the phone. However, only a Three sim works in the phone now. All other sims give a "No Service" message. I've…

24 month contract feels like a ball and chain
3 days to go and my 24 month contract will be over. When I got my Nokia X6, I was pretty happy as it was the latest phone, had sat-nav and all sorts of stuff. After a while and looking at my teenagers' i-phones, I wanted a new phone. o2 stopped early upgrades, so I was stuck with it, like having a ball and chain around my…

iPhone -vs- Android: apps & customer service..?
I'm an iPhone user (3GS). I'm going to replace with either the iPhone 5 or SG S3 when they're released. One concern I have regarding the apps... With iPhone I decided to jailbreak as I was sick of buying apps that didn't work. I think it's a con that there's no real refund system. In the real world if you buy a faulty item…

How 'new' is a 'new' contract?
I was on a contract with Vodafone till Nov 2011 when I switched back to PAYG. I spotted a deal with Vodafone on a cash back site that looks good but in the T&Cs it says it only applies to 'new' contracts. Will I count as a 'new' contract?

Advice for a friend...
One of my mates pays Vodaphone £15/month for a 3G dongle for his laptop (3GB of data) and Vodaphone another £10/month for his mobile deal (which is on a "dumb-phone" with unlimited texts and 600 minutes). I told him this is not that great a deal, as for £25/month he should at least be getting entry-level smartphone out of…
