Hi, I have Desire HD and I'm having problems with the battery from friday. Friday when I left it for charging it only charged it upto 50%. On Saturday it only charged it upto 40% and now its showing as being charged but when I take the switch out the battery is same. What should I do?

Thanks MS

How long have you had the phone? If less than 12 months then you should be covered by the manufacturers warranty.
Where did you buy it from?
Are you on contract or pay as you go?

Hi, It was bought on a contract. I think 12 months are over now but I thought HTC cover their phones for 24 months? MS
  • I found this on HTC's terms and conditions here

    2.2 In warranty Repair
In-Warranty repair means a repair carried out on a unit within 12 months of its purchase. This is not a Non-Warranty chargeable repair.

    2.4 Out-Of-Warranty chargeable repair
Repair to a unit which is carried out after 12 months from the date of purchase shall be classified as an "Out-Of-Warranty" chargeable repair.

You might find that it's easier just to buy another battery for your phone, I found one on Amazon for £7.20 here

Yeh agree might be best to buy another battery to try if it works. I have seen an extended battery 1500Mah compare to normal 1200Mah.

Do you think this will be better for longer talk time?
