ISA's and moving cash around ?
Hi all I see advice from Martin and others stating that cash tied up in an ISA on a good rate last year may not be as good this year after first year bonuses and incentives have been taken - and to avoid this you should move the cash from an underperforming ISA to a new ISA which accepts transfers in. My question is this…

Problems in transferring cash ISA
I am currently transferring an ISA. The old provider closed the account on 15 March and they say they sent a cheque to the new provider (Nationwide) on 16 March. A week later, despite chasing Nationwide, I am still waiting for the money to appear in my new account. Thus I have missed a week's interest already. Why then are…

ISA Interest!
I have had an ISA with RBS since 2000. The interest rates are abysmal, so I have transferred it to Northern Rock's 3.5% Fixed Rate ISA. I have received my closing statement from RBS and on a balance of nearly £40,000 I have received £35.84. Surely this can't be right? I take it I will get more end of year interest either…

What I currently have is 2 ISA's, one with Halifax and one with Barclays. I haven't touched my allowance for 2009/2010 at all. What I want to do is transfer the Halifax and Barclays ISAs…

2 year fixed rate halifax ISA Saver......
Hi, we currently have an ISA with the Halifax (ISA direct reward). We have just had a letter from the Halifax offering 3.5% if we transfer the money into their 2 year fixed rate Halifax ISA Saver. Are there any better rates for transfers? Have had a look but haven't seen anything. Thanks Annie

Silly ISA question
I have two ISAs paying poor rates and want to transfer them to a new ISA which pays a higher rate. Birmingham Midshires allows transfers in to a new ISA and has a good rate but I was told by them this would then be my new ISA for 2010/11. I don't however want to pay my 2010/11 allowance in to this one because it is not the…

I've got 10k sitting in an ISA doing very little and i'm wondering what else i can do with it. I don't want anything too risky, but i'm prepared to put it into low to middle risk deals. Any advice?

Best deals before or after deadline?
I opened my first ISA this year and its full up, looking to add to it ASAP after the deadline. Do the best deals normally come up before or after the ISA day deadline? ie is it worth opening another ISA now to get the rate or wait until the new ISA year? Thanks.

Halifax ISA Direct Reward Question
Hi does anyone know what the rate of this account is based on - at the moment it is stated as 2.60% however is part of this the Bank of England base rate with the rest being a 'bonus rate' or is it just random and basically can change at any time if Halifax wanted to do so? I did try and ask this question to someone at…

Advise needed
About 4 years ago I put 3000 in a Halifax S&S ISA, from reading strings on this site now know Halifax is not a good place for S&S, but as I did not have anymore money to add to it so it most probable did'nt matter to much. Circumstances have changed and I can now put 250/300 a month into a S&S ISA and of course transfer…
