Santander e isa nominated account

Options
Well i have opened a santander e isa and registered online to access the account, but i cannot add a nominated account as santander want me to phone them for a form.
This is the only account i have with them and i cannot believe they will not let me do this online.
Has anyone else had the same problem?

    Hello,
Does this mean you can't pay in using an external account? I've just opened a Santander ISA and try as I might I can't work out how to pay any money in. I tried to pay in doing a transfer from my HSBC account but it hasn't worked. I called Santander but they didn't mention a form. They weren't very useful. Might go into branch and ask......... Can it be so hard to give them your money !

It seems daft to me why can't we just transfer the money to them, they have sent me a card to draw money out but i can't put any in.:(

You should be able to 'push' money in - helped my sister activate and fund hers a couple of weeks back. Can't remember if the sort-code and account number were on one of several letters, or online once you'd logged in (don't think it was as obvious as most accounts I have, but wasn't impossible...).

The "fill a form in and wait" will be to set up a Direct Debit mandate to 'pull' money in - not a good idea at the moment as they take 10-14 days to go though, so running it a bit close (especially as Easter will get in the way).

I have finally managed to get access to my ISA online and now have the exact same problem.

I have to phone them to obtain a form simply to pay a lump sum in. I thought I had registered for e-banking :wall:

Yet more delays likely it seems.

Problem solved! ManAtHome is correct. I used my current account (different bank) online to make a payment to my Santander account. The money was transferred instantly.

At last I am the proud owner of a funded cash ISA :D

Mmmmmhhh I tried to make a payment from my HSBC account but it hasn't worked. I used the sort code and account number of the ISA which you can see when you log into your Santander account. Is that right? I tried with a tenner just in case :)

    *bangs head against wall*

Oh , and I got that direct debit form today from Santander - they'd seen that I'd tried and failed to pull in money online. The form says to allow 8 days, so don't think I can rely on that.
