Over 50 life cover
In your review of Over 50 life policies you say that these can represent good value for money but probably only for people who have a terminal illness. However, the plan which you have chosen to give a special mention to (which is provided by Assured Futures) has a three year waiting period before it will pay out the sum…

My neighbours' insurance company claim that my shrubs caused subsidence of his extension
My neighbours have a single story extension that forms approx 60% of the west boundary of my garden. Our houses are on a hill and the level of their house is about a metre below mine and the extension built in 1988 was built right up to the retaining wall that marks the end of my property. There is one of those high up the…

No claims discount? Or not?
My husband has had his own car since he learned to drive so has 15 years no claims discount. I had a break in owning a car for a few years so lost my no claims. When I got a brand new car a few years ago we insured it under his name as the no claims made a big difference and when he got a used car a few years ago we put it…

One Call Motor Insurance
Hello, I realise there are some threads here on this subject, but thought I would check out the current situation, if possible. I did a comparison on Go Compare a few days ago, One Call came out top, cheapest. They had three stars, I'm fairly sure, at the time, so I thought fair enough, they're on this site and cheap, so…

I am very uneducated about travel insurance so apologies in advance... We are booking a holiday for the autumn and will be travelling as a family of 5 plus my daughter's 18 yr old boyfriend, under the one booking. Pet Insurance - cost of replacement
I am just reviewing my pet insurance and although our dear pooch is irreplaceable - I am concerned about the cover provided by the pet insurance company I am with. We paid £1000 for a KC-registered puppy from a reputable breeder 3 years ago and that was considered a 'normal' price for the breed. He is a lovely, healthy,…

Can car insurer take auto renewal early

Who's insurance to contact (RTA)
Probably a silly question but I assume in a road traffic accident where the other party is disputing blame (even though fairly shut & closed that it was their fault), I would contact my own insurance rather than theirs? I also assume I can expect my insurance premium to increase when up for renewal in a couple of months!

Hi, I will soon be taking delivery of a new company car, but not until about 30 days after my car insurance is up for renewal - and I'm just wondering what the cheapest way to get cover for that period is? I have a quote for 28-day cover which is almost £200 I could take out an annual policy, but that will be ~£60 for the…
