30-day car insurance

Hi,

I will soon be taking delivery of a new company car, but not until about 30 days after my car insurance is up for renewal - and I'm just wondering what the cheapest way to get cover for that period is?

I have a quote for 28-day cover which is almost £200
I could take out an annual policy, but that will be ~£60 for the first month, then most include an early cancellation charge of £40ish (are there any that don't?)

£100 for 30 days of insurance is a bit much, especially when an annual policy is £320 (with a reputable insurer).

Does anyone have any tips?

Buy your 12 month policy and cancel when needed.

Yes there are companie that may have a lower admin fee or even no fee but they maybe far more expensive in the first place.
