Roughly how much for 40 yr old female just passed test to insure £4000 Ford Ka ?
Roughly how much should a 40 yr old female civil servant just passed her driving test with a Ford Ka (value £4K) living in Manchester have to pay for comprehensive car insurance ? Just need an idea to see whether the whole 'running a car' thing is financially viable. Many thanks for any estimates.

New address new job - can insurance be cancelled/refused as result?
I should be starting a new job in the next month or two and I will also want to move at roughly the same time. Unfortunately, the new job is a driving job, and it's "higher risk" even though I'm going to change from Social&Commuting to Social only as I will no longer commute. In any case, there are 4 possible scenarios I'm…

I live in a top floor flat. Is it worth me getting contents insurance?
The buildings insurance is sorted by the management company. I'm wondering if it's worth bothering with contents insurance. The flat is second floor (top floor). Reasonably safe area, don't know of any burglaries here and I'd have thought being on the top floor would be the safest. I don't have a huge amount of expensive…

Buildings insurance between exchange and completion
Does anyone have any recommendations for buildings insurance between exchange of contracts and completion in a house purchase? From exchange, I'm responsible, but most comparison sites seem to not have this option and often ask "is this your main home". As it isn't yet, its hard to get a quote.

Nationwide Flexi Account Travel Insurance Trip Extension
I have Nationwide Flexi Account Travel Insurance. I was doing a trip abroad for 62 days this year so called them to inform and ended up paying additional 50 GBP. Would I be better off if I bought a separate insurance? As I will have the same issue next year I don't know what is the best.

Home Insurance Recommendation
Bit tired of trawling comparison sites, have been with NFU, John Lewis for the past few years, never claimed in 20 years so don't know how good each insurer is.Some good prices coming up but would prefer to hear word of mouth recommendations as review centre appears to be poor for everyone except a few i've never heard of.

Hello I am trying to get a contents insurance quote online and am wondering how I would prove the value of my high risk items. DO I need to have all my high risk items valued if they are worth more than, say £1,500? It is such a nuisance to have to go and do that..... are there any insurers that don't require that to be…
