Hi guys, I am currently in Sharm El Sheikh. My flight today has been cancelled and we have no rescheduled date at present. We are preparing to be here for up to another week.

Our accommodation is sorted and we are all fine.

My Travel insurance is due to finish today. I have a specialist medical policy.

Presently they are not open till 9am UK time, does anyone know if I can simply extend or should I shop for a new policy. Can I do this as I am already here?

Your help is appreciated. Jim.

My travel insurance covers me until I return.
Are you able to access your terms and conditions on-line? (I always take a paper copy in my hand luggage).
If you don't have good internet then let us know the company and policy name (if there are different ones) and we can try and check on the net for you.

I would check whether your current policy covers you until your return beofer you start buying a new policy.

I had an email reply to say that-

"I can confirm this policy will automatically extend to cover for medical expenses until you return back home.

Just to make you aware, the cost of additional accommodation, etc. will not be covered under these circumstances."

The accommodation is being charged to Easyjet and we are keeping receipts for food etc to pass to them as they have asked.

Good to know the policy is extended.

    Hope you get back soon.
