How to insure property I won't be moving into straight away?
I'm due to complete on a house purchase in the next couple of weeks but as it's located on the other side of the country I need to secure employment there before I can consider leaving my job and completely upping sticks. Most of my furniture and belongings will be going to the new house as I'll be staying with a relative…

Some time ago my mother signed her house to my name. I live in a different house but I always seem to have problems finding insurance companies who will insure the house she lives in as it's not my private residence and not being the owner they have told me she can't insure the property in her name. The company who have…

NCB - Will I lose it if I switch to 3rd party only?
Currently got full NCB. I understand that if I dont use this for 2 years basically, I'll lose it. Does this have to be COMP insurance or any insurance? However, am I right in saying that only COMP insurance allows you to build up NCB and not third-party? If I go third-party now will I lose my NCB after 2 years?

Cheap car insurance
'Cheap' third party insurer? Don't! After many, many years on fully comp I went third party on my old banger. ('Cheap quote') Had a 'no fault' write-off and it took about a year to get money for the car (not very important) and some personal injury. But the biggest worry was that I had to pay nearly a thousand pounds up…

My 18 year son passed his driving test a couple of months ago. Does anyone know if you can buy top up insurance for a month or so to cover him for Uni holidays,…
