Cheap car insurance

'Cheap' third party insurer? Don't! After many, many years on fully comp I went third party on my old banger. ('Cheap quote') Had a 'no fault' write-off and it took about a year to get money for the car (not very important) and some personal injury. But the biggest worry was that I had to pay nearly a thousand pounds up front to the car recovery firm for accumulating storage fees before they would scrap the car. This was required for the insurers and the DVLA. I got the money back thanks to the integrity of the third party insurers - mine were useless.

Seeing as it was a third party claim it wouldn't have mattered if you were third party of fully comp as the claim was from the other person's insurance0
