Hi, I'm in the process of sourcing quotes for some tiling to be done in our (quite small) bathroom. I've had my first quote and to be honest it seems quite a lot for the time it should take after doing my own research too so was hoping for some advice on that. A photo of our bathroom is below. We are having herringbone…

Burst Sewage Pipe
So, a couple of weeks ago we noticed a lot of stagnant water sat at the back of our garden. Now the garden had always had bad drainage so we just thought it was due to some rain. This water was smelling quite bad but I thought it was due to it being stagnant. Anyway I had arranged for a couple of landscape gardeners to…

Should I sugar soap my kitchen walls before painting
Our kitchen is quite big but we have no real ventilation so the walls sweat when we cook. We want to paint it next week but feel we should do something to prep the wall for the best finish. Would using sugar soap to wash the walls down be a good idea? Any suggestions to get the best finish appreciated Thanks

Hi, I ordered a double dimmer switch but it didn't come with instructions. Can anyone tell me how best to wire it up? Here is a photo of the wiring on the current standard double switch. Rat (or Mouse) in my kitchen - what am I going to do?
I ended up with a rodent behind
my kitchen kickboards somewhere, because the outside cover on the vented dryer
had come off. Before I ask my builder to block that off (coincidentally - The
dryer stopped working at the same time?), and then I'll buy a condenser dryer,
I bought some traps baited them with jam, peanut butter…
