Mattress - Vacuum bag for transportation?

Hi,
I'm in rented accom atm, and I'm part way buying a house. I threw the old mattress away as I had my own (and that was very dirty), and I was wondering if anyone knows a cheap way to transport said mattress pretty easily. I see this:
(Queen/Full-XL/Full) Mattress Vacuum Bag for Moving. Compress Mattress to 1/8 of its Size. Double Zip Seal & Leakproof Valve. Mattress Bag for Moving: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
Which has decent reviews, but it's expensive
There's this which is MUCH cheaper, but bad reviews and apparently doesn't fit a double mattress
Vacuum Storage Bags Extra Large Latex Mattress Compression Bag Chinchilla Tami Sponge Sofa Cushion Vacuum Storage Bag (Size : 240 * 130 cm): Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
I don't care if I have to buy from China, as long as it is a product that actually works. It doesn't have to be on Amazon only too.

If your landlord provided you with a mattress in your rented accommodation you need to leave a mattress there when you leave.YNWA

The landlord's mattress was in a terrible state - I wouldn't allow anyone to sleep there if it was my house. It was that bad. So I'll give them another bad mattress back, or so that's the plan any how.
This is another reason why I want a vacuum pack bag - ie: so I can transport my own mattress to my own house, and then buy a used mattress from someone and use that same bag, to transport it to the rented property (Assuming whoever I buy it from allows me to connect my vacuum to their mains)1 -
A conventional, sprung interior mattress will not compress much no matter how much vacuum is applied to it. The air pocket type may do but I would take the adverts with a pinch of salt.

Why do you need a vacuum bag? Any mattress bag should be fine, and be a lot cheaper than the one you're looking at.

I want to essentially compress the mattress down for easy transportation of said mattress ie: stick a vacuum in it (preferably through a hole that you can open with the rest of it sealed), and away you go. It'd make it easy for me to transport my own mattress and any other mattress , in order to replace what the landlord gave.0 -
Why a bag? Why not a sheet of plastic and some tape?

Dare I ask how much it would cost to replace rather than transport and then buy a cheapo replacement? And if it isn't that much more, wouldn't it be lovely for the new tenant to have a decent mattress rather than a scuzzy one? This has nothing to do with the LL, but everything to do with the next resident.2

Even if I get a brand new mattress for the next tenant, that's at least £150. Then, my own mattress was around £450, so it seems pretty worthwhile to move it given it isn't cheap at all
At least my latex topper can go in the car! That was £200 or so
Thanks

This is £46 or so, but not sure if there might well be cheaper ones
