Fence and Gate Destroyed

Good Evening all
I am looking for some advice my house and garden
back on to council owned woodland up until about 5 years ago it was maintained
but now it’s not. Consequently, it has become wildly overgrown and has pushed
over my fence completely destroyed the gate. Are the council liable over the
last couple of years I’ve called several times to ask them to trim it back as i
see it as a spider infested fire hazard to my property. I am reluctant to get a
new fence and gate as the same thing will eventually happen i also have to trim
and remove all the vine and branches that make their way over some of which
carry what can only be described as sword sized thorns befitting something from
lord of the rings or the BFG. joking aside this takes up valuable space in my
garden waste bin. do i have any legs to stand on with the council?

If you believe it is the council's responsibility and they decline to do anything and/or ignore you why don't you contact your local councillor? They will be good at putting pressure on where you can't.0
