Ring Doorbell Pro Night Vision
Hey, new here... We have had a Ring Video Doorbell Pro since Christmas 2018 and had an amazing experience with it for the first six months. It worked brilliantly in night mode too, and the faces it saw were crystal clear, almost like in day. However we've had to get it replaced (fab customer service on Ring's end) and…

Planning - no notice given by neighbour
Quick bit of advice needed. Neighbour has put planning application in. We only know of it because of those letters you get from party wall surveyors. Having checked their application to the council they've stated that they've provided us with the notice. I presume their architect was supposed to send it? Nor is anything…

Garden Room Build - Cladding and Ventilation
Anyone here built one of these, or something similar? I'm halfway through a small Garden Room which is a lean-to structure against the corner of my garden. This is how it stands now and I'll be fitting vertical T&G larchwood cladding: I was starting to think about ventilation and just realised I've probably got the wrong…

Removers needed in SW London

Advice please
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. My next door neighbour is having a new roof put on. Their roof is stepped down from mine and the wall is rendered. The roofers are replacing the flashing and all of the rendering has been chipped away/broken off. Will the roofers leave it like that or would they repair the damage…

Re-felting apex roof
Hi, I am trying to find out if it is possible to have one side of my roof refelted?? There is a large hole in the currently brittle old-style felt on one side of the house and a few smaller tears on the other side. I've been quoted £2850 (ex. VAT) by a roofer for a complete replacement of entire roof felt. He says that 1)…

Leather Sofa Restoration - Advice Needed
Hi, I got given 2 leather sofas, however they require restoration & tlc. The problem is I'm not quite sure how to restore them. What kind of tradesman??
Slightly odd question to ask - but I'm at a bit of a loss. We need to replace a broken shower panel in our bathroom - but it'll probably mean replacing all panels, and while we're at it maybe the shower tray as well. Who does this kind of work? It's too small for most bathroom companies who are only interested in a full…

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i too hot
Had my boiler installed in April 2019, and already had WB out because of a code under warranty which turned out to be a bee blocking the condensate drain so boiler kept locking out. Now when I run the hot water it is set at 55c but if I run it for a while it goes up to 62c and the water is quite hot. Is this normal?

Gas boiler condemned!
We have a 10 year old Valiant boiler that has just been condemned because of a rusty chassis. Valiant do not do a spare so British Gas has said we need a new boiler. British Gas has been servicing it for 4 years under the Home service cover & have done any repairs. Surely if there had been a leak, they should have spotted…

Swap dishwasher and washing machine
Hi, We’ve just moved in to a new house and we’re trying to figure out how to fit everything in the kitchen. Currently there’s an integrated washing machine (looks maybe 10+ years old) and a free standing dishwasher. The washing machine is next to the sink and the dishwasher is by the back door so ideally I’d like to swap…
