What kind of tradesman??

Slightly odd question to ask - but I'm at a bit of a loss.
We need to replace a broken shower panel in our bathroom - but it'll probably mean replacing all panels, and while we're at it maybe the shower tray as well.
Who does this kind of work? It's too small for most bathroom companies who are only interested in a full design and install. Any suggestions if it's a particular trade? Or should I be looking for a handyman or something?
Any advice would be great thanks.

My first call would be to a local bathroom fitting guy and not a large bathroom supply company, try a couple, get them round to look at the job, have some conversations and take it from there.
Second suggestion would be another local "property maintenance" person - same conversations as before.
The small tradesman will be experienced in your local area - plenty of homeowners using him - and will be trading on his name and reputation, if he does bad work people in your area will know it and he'll go out of business - he can't risk that …… hence the local tradesman is the first port of call !0 -
Ask around friends & neighbours as recommendations are best. I use a multi skilled solo trader for most of the jobs I get done in my home. He charges a daily rate & works like a trojan.
His details were given to me by a friend some years back. He doesn't have to advertise for work as he is kept busy enough just by recommendations. These are the best type of people to know. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
If it's a bathroom and there might be water/sealing involved then you're probably best off looking for a plumber. Shower panelling is very popular at the moment in lieu of tiling and the plumber will be familiar with the type of work involved.
I'd likely go to a sole trader or small firm in the local area as others have mentioned above.0
