Ancient burglar alarm needing replacement sensor.

I've recently moved house and the alarm system is ancient. I want to switch alarm systems with the old house which will be going on the market soon. Is there a way I can find a new sensor for the old system when I switch them around? I can't even see the make of the system.

Components are pretty standard on the older wired systems, just have a look on some of the online retailers.
Don't quite follow switching alarm systems, are you going to move your alarm system from one house to the other? Frankly given that the parts are cheap I wouldn't have thought it was worth the hassle, be easier just to buy some new components and have a nice new system.0 -
Thanks Jonesya,
The other alarm system is a modern one although both are wireless systems. I'd be using the modern one in the new house. The other system is just to cover the old house until we sell it.0 -
Well if it's wireless I think they're more dependent on the manufacturer and specific product.
If you're moving into the house and you're going to be there a while, good opportunity to fit a wired system while you ca and before you get everything decorated.0
