Mereway/Sheraton/Hacker kitchens?
Any thoughts on these 2 kitchen manufacturers? Prefer the doors of the Mereway (Cucina Colore) but local kitchen place is modelling a Sheraton kitchen for us. It's a lot of kitchen (36-40 units) so need to make sure we're buying something decent!

Blistering Paint - Help!
So we moved into our dream home a couple of months ago. It's roughly 10 years old and at a glance seems to be in great condition. It had been newly decorated when we viewed it, but since we've moved in we found the paint was peeling off the walls in a few areas. We started trying to sort out the first area last weekend.…

Painting room. Only one newly plastered wall
Hi, We had our chimney breast replastered and I have read up about how I need mist coats etc. I will be using Dulux Trade Matt Vinyl to do this. So I know what I am doing with that area. The question is I will be repainting the whole room. The current colour is a wheat colour so not dark at all. Will it be okay to paint…

Replacing patio doors with French doors
Can anyone tell me whether replacing patio doors with French doors requires building regs, ie do I need a Fensa certified fitter/building control to do the work/sign it off, or can I undertake the work myself? If I do need someone to do it/sign it off, can anyone give an idea of cost? I'm located in the south-east.…

Fitting Vertical Blinds to UPVC Windows
We have had our hardwood window replaced with a UPVC D/G one and we want to use our vertical blinds again with it but what do we fix it to, we don't have any wood and I don't believe you can drill the UPVC frame? Anyone know how they are fixed. We only have a metal lintel above the window that has been plastered.

Furniture for a conservatory
We're moving to a new house which has a conservatory, and we've not had one before. We're moving in Feb so won't be using the conservatory until it gets warmer, but will be looking for furniture for it in the next few months. Current owners have a wicker sofa suite in it. When you search "conservatory furniture", it all…

Wall Stickers - anyone every tried them?
I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a wall sticker for my bedroom to try to jazz the walls up a little. I painted it last year when OH and I first moved in, and although the colour is a cornflower white (light blue – I was told I couldn’t’ make it to girly!!) it makes the room look a little drab in all honesty.…

I am planning to spruce up our kitchen and change the kitchen worktops and tiles (to keep the other half happy).
