Water Leaking Through Brickwork

Hi everyone,
Hope somebody hear has some advice for me.
I recently brought my first house in October this year had a homebuyerssurvey carried out and damp was not issue but they mentioned about having therendering of the house looked at.
It seems that the bad rain we have had recently has leaked through one ofour exterior walls, in our hall way upstairs the there is a damp patch on thewall directly above the window and down the two walls either side of the window(just painted as well). In our bedroom (same exterior wall but about threemeters away from the window there is another damp path but does not cover sucha large area.
Does anyone have any advice who I shouldcontact about this? Rendering company, somebody to look at window seals. I'mreally unsure (sorry to sound naive) who would be able to provide me thespecialist advice that I need. Also if it is the rendering that needs doing, dowe have to wait until the brickwork completely dries out? I don't really wantto wait too long as this small issue could turn out to very costly and the dampcould travel elsewhere in my newly decorated house.
Any advice would be great

It shouldn't be the gutters because we had new ones fitted at the end of November. Also on the wall the water is leaking through their are not gutters on this side of the house (we just have them front and back).
It could be the roof we haven't had this checked yet however would the damp patches not be starting from the ceiling and working downwards. The damp patches we have start from just above the window which is about a meter from the ceiling.0
