Does anyone know when B&Q / Wickes sales are?
We're looking at buying a new kitchen from B&Q and am wanting to know when the sales are. I don't want to pay their 'everyday low prices' when I know there's sales throughout the year. Same goes for Wickes. We're replacing all the internal doors and have the same thing. Any help would be gratefully received!

Floor tile adhesive
Hi we have bought ceramic floor tiles to fit to a concrete kitchen floor. The tiles were a good price but adhesive seems to be a total rip off! Any advice on a good value adhesive? Salespeople obviously push high price products but it just has to work and not end up costing more than the tiles!! We need approx 12 square…

Stop tap saviour.....?
Getting the bath replaced, as the old one is cheap and has multiple cracks in it. Neighbour is an electrician, sound bloke, knows everyone, recommended a guy who could fit us a new bath. Taken an age to get round to it being fitted, today was finally the day. Left him my keys (I'm very trusting), came home from work, keys…

Black-Leading ?
Wasn't sure whether this should go here or on the OS board - apologies if it's in the wrong place. I have an open fire, which I use for both wood and coal fires, with a seperate decorative cast metal front piece/grill to stop the fuel falling off the grate and adjust the air flow (fender?) It doesn't have any kind of…

Is there any way to clean (or lighten) yellowing plastic?
I have something made of plastic which originally was cream but has turned a reasonably deep and nasty shade of yellow over the years. It has been in a cupboard lately and seems to have got even worse. No smoking household btw so nicotine doesn't play a part at all. Is there anything I can do to make it look any better? It…

Timer delay switch for dishwasher?
Morning all, is there such a thing? We want to put the dishwasher on to take advantage of a night time tariff, and the machine we inherited doesn't have a delay facility. Is there anything that can do this? I've gone a few searches but can't find anything specific, just wondered if I'm missing something?

Opposite of midas touch... now I've messed water up
Ahh!! Mum has a powershower but it's never used as she has baths. She said I could use it. I did and had a perfectly normal, uneventful shower. When I went to leave there's hot water pouring out of the overflow. We went to check the tank upstairs, and the water was hot and above the overflow pipe. It was also leaking from…

Is there a way to increase the pressure of the whole system rather than just putting in a pump for the shower, because as I understand it i cant use suck a pump with a sealed…

TrayMate vs Aqualux Shower Trays
We've ordered the Aqualux Shower Tray from the online retailer but received the TrayMate Whitestone Low Profile. Are these brands of the same quality? Just trying to decide whether it is worth contacting the supplier to ask for replacement. From the pictures, they look the same.
