What could they be? Thanks…

Bosch KGV33NW20G fridge freezer - any good?
I think my venerable, 17 year old Zanussi ZF 36/46 is on its way out - it's taking a long time for the fridge to chill food, and more importantly wine ;) . I'm going to defrost the freezer tomorrow, but if that doesn't improve matters, I'll have to replace it. To be honest, now that there are two of us, the fridge is a bit…

Also out thermostat is in the living room and we want to put a TRV on that radiator as that room heats…

Heat Recovery/Recycling
The layout of my house means that a lot of heat collects at the top of the stairs in a central hall area. In the summer this is from heat transmission through he partially insulated sloping areas of the ceiling (loft conversion) and in the winter it is from downstairs heat travelling up the stairwell, not practical to fit…

Kitchen Planning
We are in the very early stages of planning a new kitchen. There are some walls to come down to make it much bigger than it is now. Before we start all that, I wanted a price (for kitchen, not building work) so we know if it is feasible, and what we are working towards. Having stalked this forum for a while, read all about…

I need to paint an exterior wall of a building, preferably tomorrow and Saturday when the weather is supposed to be dry (hah!). Cavity Wall Insulation
Hi all I just wanted to share my views with the forum regarding cavity wall insulation. I had this done in 2004 after receiving a partial grant from one of the energy suppliers. Back in March, my next door neighbour removed an ajoining chimney without mine or my upstairs neighbours approval. Cupboard door hinge/wood problem
After a bit of a saga with a broken integrated washing machine. I bought a new machine. The problem is that the machine height is a different height to the old one so the kitchen cupboard door which is attached to the washing machine is about 1cm lower than the other cupboard doors. It would normally be a simple case of…

Hi, We moved to our new house (1901 built) 5 weeks ago and one of the 1st things I did was get things going for the loft insulation to be sorted.
