Toilet smells when flushed
We recently bought our first house and it needs a lot of work. One issue we have is that when we flush the loo a smell emerges which is not very nice :o I'm not sure how the smell of the sewer can be coming up when there is obvisously water in the trap. Any ideas?

filling and re-drilling in same hole
so im putting up a second baby gate and got a couple of holes too big and the screws are just being pulled out after a few days.. i need to fill in the holes and start over.. but re-drilling new holes in almost exactly the same place... what's the best way to fill in the holes (in plaster) so i can then re-drill into them…

Cheaper Woodchip Solutions?
Hello, I have some horrid woodchip paper and to get the whole room replastered will cost a small fortune. Has anyone tried those smooth over pastes like this or heavy duty papers to create a smooth finish?
