Hi
I'm about to move into a house with wood parquet flooring,it needs sanding & some sort of finish on it.
Ive heard i need a 'belt sander' as they are better to use/finish,also can anyone recommend an oil to use to finish it off
Also any other tips/help
Cheers

A sanding pad on a rotary machine may be better, belt sanders are not for novices, they have a tendency to dig big holes every time you start and stop in novices hands.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you are doing it yourself you will need a rotary sander and a small handheld one to do corners/edges.
It makes an AWFUL lot of dust even on a dust collecting sander !
The best finish is Bonakemi. Lots of different finishes and treatments to choose from !
You will need the sander for several days as you need to very lightly sand the finish after you have put on a couple of coats and before you apply the final one.0 -
I can recommend Dulux Diamond Glaze and also Blackfriars traditional woodstain if the floor is a hardwood floor....
