I completed my house purchase today and I have been advised to replace the roof by the surveyor. He feels the timbers are intact despite some leaks but could not see the wood entering the walls. He also thinks the floor boards throughout are bouncy which could be woodwork. He did not view under floorboards and advised we…

Another one - B&Q refunds
Me again, On a roll today! We bought some laminate flooring from B&Q in February and went to lay it last month. Cost for 22 m2 patio? Help on labour quotes
I would love a patio in my garden, have done the measurements, 22 m2, but not sure how much it will coat for labour. Ground is not that level but not awful and the patio will have to be shaped around my shed, which is against my garden fence. Any ideas on price and would decking be more expensive? :)

B & Q Over 60's Discount Card
I've just visited my local B & Q store in Macclesfield. The counter assistant told me that their discount card is accepted on Tuesday & Thursday as well as Wednesday - their quietest days. Apparently it's at the discretion of the store manager. Her advice was to ask as staff are not encouraged to volunteer this info.

Cleaning up a very dusty house
No, I haven't neglected the housework...I'm having my concrete floors drilled into for some pipes. This has thrown up immense amounts of dust, coating every available surface.
