I am refurbishing my bathroom....my existing bathroom is 20 years old and i'm starting from scratch again....
All white suite as in bath with side and end panels quadrant shower cubicle and white toilet and whb....that's the easy bit....
cant decide if I should tile or get the pvc panels....I like quite a modern look clean lines type of look but not too high tech looking
Not sure what type or size of tiles i should go for ? or do I tile the whole bathroom or not ?
Is the pvc type panels old fashioned ?
please help.....
the bathroom is quite large as in 12ft long by 8ft wide with a window facing the door in the 8 ft wall....

Bath panels are there to provide access to the plumbing. It is easier to remove a plastic panel than a tiled oneI can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

To be honest we will probably downsize in a few years due to children leaving home....but the rest of the house has been modernised and its just the bathroom left to do....But to do it cheaply pay put off prospective buyers in a hard enough market to sell !!!!!!0 -

I'd say £1,500 - £2k including materials but not tiles, suite etc on a site unseen basis.

Got to pay to have it installed, tiled, and flooring
Do you think another £1,000 to £1500 ?
For that size bathroom you'll be lucky my one was 3m x 3m and 2.8 in height.0 -
To be honest it needs done so havn't got a budget in mind. Have paid for suite and will just have to get tiles etc and pay fitter etc and hope for the best....
obviously we'll try and get a wee bargain here and there either in flooring or panelling........Finding it hard to get motivated as we will hopefully be moving within the next 2 years !
I'm really looking for ideas as whats in style now for bathrooms ? I'm not really good at putting a whole look together , I'd rather look at a picture and follow that !0 -
for my money tiles tiles tiles. the plastic panelling is just that - plastic and when you come to sell it can often be a negative.
large format tiles are very fashionable at the moment as are vertical mosaic borders/a different tile in the shower area. You dont have to spend a fortune. pop your measurements on as its hard to know if your 1500-2k is possible without knowing area.0
