Can I apply matt varnish over satin?
Yesterday I applied the first coat of varnish to a new oak staircase and will be applying the 2nd coat on Monday. For some reason I managed to buy satin instead of matt and I'm not overly keen on the sheen. :o Would buying a tin of matt and using that as the 2nd coat work?
