New Bathroom Refit ~ W. Yorks
Hi there, I've been reading about bathroom and kitchen advice on here and need some help if possible. I was thinking about organising Cooke & Lewis (B&Q by another name, right?) to do both but after reading so many threads here about them I have decided I need to find an Independent fitter. The only problem is that even…

looking for internal door 720mm wide
Need to replace bathroom door, and I have looked high and low (wickes, homebase, B&Q, jewsons, travis perkins) for an internal 6 panel moulded door with dimensions 1981X720X35 and cannot for the life of me find this. Most doors seem to be either 686 or 726 wide. I found one that was 726 wide but it was 2040 tall and 40…

Dulux Trade vs 'normal' paint
Bit of a stupid question this but Brewers sell Dulux Trade paint, silk emulsion, for around £12.50/Litre, whereas the likes of Homebase’s Dulux silk emulsion is £8 for 2.5L. Presumably the trade version is better, but in what way? and would it make any difference to a layman like me in terms of ease of application, final…

Getting an electrician
Hello, I've read a bit about hiring tradespeople and it seems clear that good old word of mouth and recommendation seem to favour. Throw in a bit of general 'sussing a character out' and that would usually suffice. However, I'm a bit stuck as it's not just finding an electrician it's also finding out they have the correct…
