Topps price match promise - or any other shop!
How good is a price match promise? Is it not worth the bother? If it’s not in their interest, they simply refuse to match a price (even with printed out proof of a better price!). From The Topps Tiles website: If you buy any product from Topps Tiles then find it in stock cheaper somewhere else within 7 days, we will match…

Avoiding misting in D.glazing or Triple glazing
We have a window at the bottom of the kitchen which gets all day sun - when we we have it. Consequently, this double glazed window (fitted by us) has had to be replaced three times in about 10-15 years. Does anyone know of any way of avoiding this replacement job?. Would triple glazing make a difference and would it be…

Hotpoint Fridge Freezer FFA60 - water under salad drawer
Hi, I have had my hotpoint for about 6 years. Just recently there has been water under the salad drawer every morning. I had a search on google and have tried a few things suggested - check the drain hole by pushing a straw down it and I've also moved the fridge and got rid of the dust underneath it and at the back. When I…

Renewing gas burner 'thingies'.
I used an oven cleaner on my (presumably) stainless steel gas burners and now they have gone a dull grey and look even worse! I've tried all sorts including bicarb and vinegar/lemon. Is there any product which will restore the gleam? Or even something to re-coat them

condensation
We have patio doors in our front room (3 of them) and we are getting really bad condensation. We keep the vents open on the top, but still the windows are still soaking. It's making my curtains get really wet too. Is there anyway of stopping this. We have a 2 year old, so need something that wouldn't harm him either. Many…

British Gas - Powerflush ?
I have had a BG Homecare 200 agreement for 13 years - in that time they have replaced 3 radiators. The last radiator they replaced (earlier this year) the engineer advised it would be the last one they would replace as the system needs a powerflush. We were quoted £750 at the time. Needless to say we haven't got around to…

How much to get cooker connection rewired?
Hello, I've just bought a dual fuel cooker with an electric oven. The existing cooker connection in the wall requires the cooker to be wired in, whereas the cooker can just be plugged in. Anyone have any ideas on how much it would cost to rewire the connection in the wall to be able to take a plug? Many thanks, Martin

How do I remove mould from wood?
Hi everyone, I live in a flat which was a new build when i moved in in 2007. I've been a bit naughty and not kept it very well ventilated in the winters. I've not had the vents open as it gets so cold and I should have boosted the extractor fan to compensate but didn't. I think this is what has caused some mould to form on…
