How do I remove mould from wood?

Hi everyone,
I live in a flat which was a new build when i moved in in 2007. I've been a bit naughty and not kept it very well ventilated in the winters. I've not had the vents open as it gets so cold and I should have boosted the extractor fan to compensate but didn't. I think this is what has caused some mould to form on my window frames. I have bought some Crystal thins to absorb moisture from the atmosphere and am now boosting the extractor and wiping up any condensation I find. But does anyone know how I can get rid of the mould on the window frames? I don't think it's penetrated very deeply.
Thanks

Unfortunately once mould gets into the paint, its pretty near impossible to completely remove as it stains. I would clean it with bleach first to get rid of most of it and whiten the stain down a bit - then spray it with some mould killer (Cuprinol do one) which will help prevent it returning (leave this to dry on the surface) and then repaint over it. Provided you then keep it cleaned up it shouldn't return.Adventure before Dementia!0

Ok. The frames aren't painted though. They must be trated with something although they aren't shiney either so i'm not sure it's varnish. I'll treat it with some bleach first and see what happens.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0
