Need a new washer dryer

Over the past few months I have read various postings about washer/dryers and was wondering if anyone had recently purchased a make they could recommend.
Our Zanussi has today been witten off! only 7 years old. The something has happened to the drum and the insurance co said it would cost over £300 to repair!
I would quite like a machine with a bigger drum and have been looking at Bosch but they seem to be the standard 5kg but I know they have good write ups for reliability. Have just found this on John Lewis site http://www.johnlewis.com/230475116/Product.aspx it seems pricey but has a bigger drum. Not sure who makes JL products but did read its German. It comes with 3yr warranty and you can buy another 2 years for £109! The only thing is they don`t come and install it for you which I think is a bit cheeky.
Does anyone know about these machines or can you recommend another make that is worth looking at. Not sure if Zanussi (think there is a group of some other manufactures that are built in the same place) is worth getting again.
Also should I wait until after Christmas may I get a slightly better deal of JL if I wait? Any advise would be great. Many thanks
