Bathroom upgrade
Just want to canvas some opinions as DH and I can't reach agreement. We have an old coloured bathroom suite. We know that an up-to-date bathroom is important when you come to sell a house, but we won't be moving for at least 3 yrs. If we upgrade now it will be a white suite. But maybe that will look out of date in 3 yrs-…

Phew! overheating conservatory
Hi, don't know if anyone can advise me on shading of a conservatory roof? It is 3m x 3.5m and is a slanting roof(pent?) of plastic channel-like panels. It gets so hot in the summer as there are only 4 little windows in the walls to let the heat out. I'm just wondering if anyone would have any ideas. I did google shade…

Hanging basket brackets..What size rawl plug & screw?
Hello I need to fit some hanging basket brackets. These are 16" diameter baskets and I imagine quite heavy when full and watered. I've bought the B&Q round hook bracket but not the fitting kit as they looked very small. Instead I've bought two packs of fittings and was wondering which to use: 10mm thick rawlplugs with 50mm…

Help choosing an American style fridge/freezer - height constrained
Hi all, and thanks for reading. I'm moving to a new house in three weeks and need to buy a fridge/freezer. I'd like one of the American style fridge/freezers with a water and ice dispenser, but the problem I have is that the space for the fridge/freezer is confined by a cupboard above. Short of removing the cupboard, is it…
