Wood Burning stove central heating installation

Options
Hi,

Hope someone can help. Having a bit of a saga getting cost effective central heating into my house (currently using storage heating:eek:). Have had a quote and grant agreed to get gas into house but relies on 55 of my neighbours stumping up £350 each as well......hmmmm. So....

Was looking into wood burning stoves again and have spoken to a sales room not so far away from home. Got a quote (rough) for about £5500 for the entire system, all dependent on which items I went for, But my question is this...

Is anyone aware of any grants or benefits/awards etc to assist with what is deemed a more fuel/ecological efficient central heating system?

Thanks in advance for any help offered
