Big (but small) sofa
We desperately need a new sofa, ideally a 3-seater, but one that will fit through our small front door and hallway. Either that or is it possible to buy a sofa that you build indoors, good quality and long lasting obviously. Basically I don't know where to start  or what my options are. We've currently got a…

Unrepairable Fridge Freezer, less that 3 years old.
I was wondering if anyone could help me. Just under 3 years ago I spent almost £300 on a Zanussi Fridge Freezer. Having spent so much I thought it would ensure a certain degree of longevity. Now, having just paid a service man (recommended by Zanussi) £66 for the privilige of telling me that it is beyond repair due to a…

Zanussi fridge freezer problems
I have a Zanussi fridge/freezer - ZNB3450s. It is 18 mths old and the freezer alarm started going off and the temperature going up and down. The engineer came out put a bit of mastic around the rear pipe and it was mended. He said air was getting in through the rear pipe. The fridge outlet already had mastic, but non…

Alarm control panel
My existing scantronic 9200 keyboard panel is wearing out. Had 2 quotes for replacement, both around £160. One is for new scantronic 9651 panel, the other for a Gardtec by Risco. Any thoughts as to which would be the better buy appreciated.

plumbworld.com deal or no deal?
Hi has anyone used plumbworld? We need a new bathroom and have found some lovely ones on plumbworld.com. However they're (from what I can tell) exclusively online. There's no phone numbers to contact them on, though there is an address. There's also no delivery timescale. There's a "fantastic" money back gurantee if you're…

Boiler & Hot Water problem
I've recently had an open vented central heating + hot water sytem installed. So far, it has just been used for hot water. However, I've noticed that despite the cylinder thermostat being set to 60 degrees the hot water only gets to 40 degrees (measured with a thermomoter) despite the system being on for 3 hours. The…

Leaking Toilet
Our toilet is leaking from (unfortunately!) the dirty end, i.e. the bit where the U bend joins onto the other bit. I confess I haven't got close enough to check in detail as yet, but it looks pretty gross, so you can tell that's where it's leaking! Is there anything I can do to fix it, or does it need a plumber? Thanks.

Freezer (in kitchen) condensation pools on top and sides cold
Hey Peeps! :D I've done a search and found this thread which is closest but doesn't really address the issue I'm facing... We have a standalone freezer in the kitchen, used to be in our friend's garage but we bought it after they moved away. It seems to always be cold on the top surface and on the sides. Condensation…
