How much for all this??
I've been to look at a potential house to buy today. I liked it but it needs a lot of work and whilst I can decorate, it would need a lot more than a lick of paint. I'm wondering if you can give me a rough idea how much it would cost to get tradesman and materials in to do the following to a 2 up 2 down…

Flushing radiator system
Hi Had the plumber out as some of our old radiators have had it so we're getting new ones. Anyway the plumber recommended flushing out the system with X400 as our pipes are only 8mm so it'll get rid of all the years of gunk (he's also going to put in X100 inhibitor on completion). Sadly he can't do the work until November…

Laminate peaking - is it fixable?
We have laminate in our living room which was down when we moved in (about 18 months ago) which is now 'peaking' in various places - most annoyingly by the door so it won't shut anymore! It's fitted under skirting boards so I can't easily see what kind of gap's been left round the edges (from poking round the internet I'm…

help - Concrete soil board/barge board
I have just bought some concrete boards to go under the fence panels. They are so heavy I think it would take 4 men to lift to 6 feet to slot them into the fence posts. There must be an easier way/knack to get them in - else I've wasted a lot of money Please help!

Dishwasher On Top Of Wshing Machine?
Is it practical to have a dishwasher sat on top of a washing machine, or perhaps even sat below one? We only have enough space in the kitchen for a slim line dish washer, but we could possibly sit one on top or below the washing machine in the ajoining untility area. Is this practical? Would it work?

Lino bubbling up
Hi. My mum has recently noticed that an area of her kitchen lino has bubbled up. It was laid just under 1 year ago by Carpet Barn and their 'best' fitter. An area a foot & a half square has raised like a floopy bubble, as if the lino has been stretched in just this one area. Its an area by the kitchen table near a corner…
