Good morning: My OH, Corgi Guy, is (funnily enough;) ) a plumbing and heating engineer...we are just up the road from you in Thanet. Send us a pm if you want a bit of advice.

I do recommend the valiant condensing boilers and also Worcester Bosch boilers are good make
Noticed on Valiant web site they have a search for a installer, we had a valiant ectotech in last house its was one of the best boilers we had, brilliant I do miss since we moved house
Locate an installer0 -
Thank you everyone.
Can i ask what is the difference between a condenser and a combi?
So far i have had two people round, 2 more booked and maybe one more coming;)
I am used to hubby doing quotes for other people and answering 1001 questions, but now we are on the other end, it is hard knowing who to choose with our hard earned cash.

99.999% of boilers in England installed in houses must be condensing regardless of whether they are system, heat-only or combis.
It just means high efficiency - oh, and less reliability and more expensive repair bills - but on the other hand you will be saving the planet or something.0 -
Hi...my OH has responded to your PM....in the meantime...the Energy Saving Trust has an excellent guide designed for installers but has great info for consumers as well on the specification and installation of gas central heating
