A squirrel is eating the brid's nuts!
I've nothing against squirrels, they're cute little things, but they're eating the nuts I put in a feeder for the birds and scaring my feathery friends away. I know I shouldn't be choosing the wildlife I want in my garden but I haven't seen the woodpeckers for weeks now and I'm missing them! The squirrel has destroyed my…

Bath/Bathroom query
I want to put a 1800 x 700/800 bath in a space that measures 1790. I've been advised that many baths are not exactly the quoted size and could well be + or - 5 or 10mm. If the bath we want is under the quoted length then that's ok, but if it's exactly 1800 or slightly over, it obviously wont fit. I'm now thinking that as…

We need to cut a narrow slot along the back of our kitchen worktop in order to fit a stainless steel splashback which has a thin lip designed to fit behind the worktop. The splashback is mounted on 1cm thick piece of wood which would cover 1cm of the worktop in front of the slot. The kitchen was already fitted and it would…

Rayburns and the building regs
We are in the process of removing our 30+ year old defunct boiler from the kitchen and would like to replace it with a second-hand Rayburn in the same spot to run the central heating and DHW. The dilemma we are faced with now is concerning the new building regs where you need to have an A-rated boiler (read: condensing)…

drive refurbishment
Anyone know if there is a special paint for Tarmac drives? Although I clean ours with a pressure washer, it is looking a bit faded. Dont want to use garage floor paint as it wouldn't look natural. I just want the drive to look black again instead of dirty grey
