Has it totally stopped working, or is it just the fan ? or just the heating part (element) ?
For what it's worth, my mum has a Format and her 'control deck' lights have been flashing since about 10 days after the warranty ran out. Also about 2 weeks later the fan in the top oven went, but between myself and my dad - he removed it & swapped the fan from the bottom oven, I renovated it, and he replaced it into the bottom oven - it's been kept going for another 8 or 9 years.....
If it's the fan, you may be able to fix it (mums was just the bearings needed greasing) or replace it (you may have to hunt for a decent spares outlet).
If it's the element - it ought to be easily replaceable - same applies as above for the tracking down of a spares outlet. There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
fan works but little heat so probably the element
thanks i will check it out next week (holiday tommorow)Ready to Go Go!0
