    20 mins to 2 days???

Technically within 4 hours (in my area anyway).

HOWEVER - they are only obliged to make emergency repair at this point and will come back to replace the window.

On a side note, have you checked outside and removed and stones, steps faulty slabs etc. so that the little angels parents dont sue?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i cant believe i will have to live with a board up at my window - how ugly - better get my daughter to paint it for me seeing as she is an artist.........

Don't forget to report it to the police. They may never catch the oiks, but if it's logged then it may highlight problems in the area which could be dealt with over time. No log means no problems so no action.....

Will the council replace it for you for free or do you have to pay?

Colour, race, gender is all statistics. Are certain members of our society being targeted for example. If you were Asian for example? could this be a race crime because of the terrorist attacks

Newspaper. Possibly a press release with your consent, so that members of public might help them identify the culprits. All police want to detect crime to help with figures as well as lock people up.
