Is negative equity likely?
I have been reading alot on the HPC website and am starting to panic slightly. I live in London and have a flat valued at £400k in April 2007, the mortgage is repayment and about £205k, my OH says based on what happened in the late 80's and early 90's the value could halve and I would be in negative equity?. He wants me to…

Stay or move? Don't know what to do!
Morning all, I live with my partner in a smallish 2 bed house we bought 3 1/2 years ago. I have just changed jobs and so we can afford to move to a bigger house. But is this sensible in the current market? I don't really understand economics  If it was just the 2 of us we would certainly stay put, but we have 3…

Buying Property in Florida
We are thinking of buying a Villa in Orlando, on one of the top Golf Communities. Anyone have any experience of buying there? Any owners on here? We may pay cash or mostly cash with a small percentage of top up loan to pay closing costs and up front management fees. It is hoped that rental income would cover general…

being gazumped
So our first sale before xmas collapsed when the broker handling the new buyers at the bottom of the chained proved incompetant. With this second attempt all parties were made aware of the fact that an exchange of contracts had to happen before the end of the month. We accepted an offer and all parties to the deal agreed…

Gone quiet on viewings. Why?
Is it the credit crunch? Are we over priced? Is the Estate agent not performing? Since we have had our house on the market we have had a few interested parties, but they have come and gone. Now we have only had a couple of viewings recently. But obviously not serious contenders. Nothing is really happening. Honest opinions…
