When will E.ON Next change my monthly DD.
I got a 2 year electricity fix in March 2021, paying 16.73 p/kWh and 22.90 p/day with a monthly DD is £46.00. Clearly I will face a 100 to 200% increase in April 2023 but will E.ON Next increase my DD before my deal expires? My bill contains a forecast for the next 12 months, but it is still forecasting a £ figure at my…

How much longer to wait?
I started the process to switch from British Gas to Avro the day before Avro ceased trading. Behind the scenes, Avro carried on taking monies from my account which I am still waiting for. I was transferred to Octopus Energy and I have contacted them via email on numerous occasions, with the same reply / response each time…

Solar Panels
My partner and I are deep into the conveyancing process of buying a house which is an older property but not listed. We got a level 3 survey which showed that the roofing tiles on the oldest part of the house were on their last legs and that the boiler although functional was 20 years old, inefficient and should be…

My DD to EDF at almost 300 pounds per month - How will the 400 cashback affect my payments?
ATM we are now paying about 300 per month. The 400 of our taxpayer's money being returned to us/etc. Will EDF automatically reduce my monthly payments? I want to keep up the payments as slightly in debt atm because of the miscalculations by the previous suppliers etc. Will I get an option?

Cost per hour
Hi is there a handy guide anywhere that shows cost per hour of household electrical items to prove to people that some of their suggestions are bonkers? These are all Facebook suggestions I have seen recently: Charge your iPhone in your car because it’s free (it’s not!) Turn off your router every night (I calculate the…

Economy 7
Thanks to all of you who responded to my recent message. Perhaps mentioning the cap word has confused the issue. What I am trying to establish is the current kw/hr day and night rates used on the new tariffs. Trying to get this information from the various suppliers is virtually impossible.

Choosing new electricity supplier, (N. Ireland, average usage of 2500kwh per year)
Hi, Usually I can plot things on spreadsheet myself but this time it's different due to how quickly and unpredictably prices keep rising. I am currently with SSE Airtricity (DD/Online -20%) deal which is due to end in few days time. As I am existing customer, I now only qualify for 10% discount if I renew. I know my…

invite from eonnext under their eonnextyoursay. The survey starts with the company asking would
you stay loyal if we gave to £200 a year as loyalty payment. WARNING - this is not £200 cash this is going to
be in the form of vouchers or offer for purchases from selected organisations. I have already…

First Time Buyer Rough Usage
Hi, I'm in the process of buying my first home. It's just me and a dog living in a 2 bed house. I'm just trying to work out roughly what the bills might be. I'm coming from living at my parents and have just given them a token set amount every month to help save for the deposit so I'm clueless about it all. I've passed the…

EDF - 3yr fixed rate - Moving House
Hello Money Saving Experts, We are lucky enough to be signed up to a 3yr fixed rate tariff with EDF on a price cap equivalent of around £1400 (contract from September 2021). The only problem is we have just sold our house, and will likely be moving in either September this year, or a few months later. When asked online,…

Why do my overnight costs keep changing ?
Hi All I know we are all struggling with the energy costs right now, but I can't help but feel a little suspicious of what is going on with my overnight costs. We have been very mindful of turning everything off every night and I have been watching my smart meter like a hawk. When I get up everyday at 7am it is at around…

Fixed deal ending
Hi currently with BG has part of switch from peoples energy so been pretty lucky so far to a degree anyway better than some. Deal finished in June and been offered the new rate which looking on here appears to be around 32%. So based on the feedback from Martin I should go on the variable right and not fix this deal in?…

Energy Rebate
Hi allSorry if this has been asked before, but I am not clear how I will receive my £400 energy rebate. I live in a mobile home park, and the park owner pays the electricity bill for the whole park, and then bills the residents separately. In theory it is only he that will get the rebate. How will this be passed on to the…

Cannot get £400 rebate on electric
We rent a bungalow in the Landlord's grounds. We pay rent separately. We have an old-fashioned meter and we take readings monthly and pass them to the Landlord because he has the "Main Meter" and bill in his name and we pay for electricity separately on the rate he has fixed with the electricity board. He will get the £400…

Renting for a year what to do with energy
I am moving into a property in July and renting it for just a year with two other people. I have found out the properties current provider but not sure whether it is best to be on a variable rate for the year, go for a fixed rate straight away or find a completely different provider all together? We could have had our…

How do I set Ecodan Heating
A year ago we had a Mitsubishi Ecodan system installed under the warmer homes scheme, replacing a soild fuel boiler. While the elecrtic bill went up we managed. Untill now. My bill in January was 950 with my 150 discount. April it was 1,140 and we'd hardly used the heating and gone back to peat. My husband is retired and I…

Is my energy usage high?
I have been thinking about my energy usage and had considered us to be relatively low users but thought it might be best to do a sanity check. 3 bed semi, 2 adults 3 teenagers. Oil CH average electric use 3380kwh per year. We typically have 2 laptops on in the day Mon-Fri. Children only play computer games at weekends and…
