When will E.ON Next change my monthly DD.
I got a 2 year electricity fix in March 2021, paying 16.73 p/kWh and 22.90 p/day with a monthly DD is £46.00.
Clearly I will face a 100 to 200% increase in April 2023 but will E.ON Next increase my DD before my deal expires?
My bill contains a forecast for the next 12 months, but it is still forecasting a £ figure at my current rates (c £550).

Eon didn't ask for my DD to change until my previous fix had expired and I'd chosen (or not!) a new one.
They carried on quoting a forecast on current rates right to the end!
Even then, the new DD only kicked in on the 1st of the month, after the expiry date. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)1 -
Also, as always, check your current DD is reflective of your actual usage on your current tariff. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)1

Have you been migrated to E.ON Next, and has it caused you any problems?0 -
I had smart meter issues when first migrated to Next. I used their FB messenger page and managed to get it sorted "fairly" quickly, once the initial "please wait at least 8-10 weeks" had passed.RG2015 said:
I am currently on track, although losing connection on my smart meter since December makes monitoring a pain (gone back to old school calculations).Sea_Shell said:Also, as always, check your current DD is reflective of your actual usage on your current tariff. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0 -
Crossed post!!!😉
No other issues, they've been really good. AND refunded £200 excess credit when requested, without fuss.
We'd reduced usage during our fix, but had kept DD high. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0 -
The only time they should increase the DD is if you use more electric and gas or your fixed deal is coming to and end and the new rates means you will pay more for the gas and electric.RG2015 said:I got a 2 year electricity fix in March 2021, paying 16.73 p/kWh and 22.90 p/day with a monthly DD is £46.00.

Therefore, as long as my usage remains constant, they should not change my DD before April 2023.0
