Eon On-line gone down
I've been trying the best part of this evening to log onto my on-line account with Eon - without success. Usually, I have no problems. Downdetector produces an odd result if I enter Eon in the search bar it links to DownDetector's Neverwinter games server status page. Anybody know what's going on ? N.

Smart meter in-home-devices (IHD) not working
I had my meters changed to so-called smart meters 15/11/19. I had read lots of stories about them not working and sending incorrect readings to your energy supplier. My seem ok, but the IHD is completely useless. It shows gas, but has the electricity Kwh rate making it appear 4 times more expensive than it is. It won't…

Smart IHD won't connect?
We moved into a house with an existing British Gas smart meter (Landis +Gyr e470 connected to Trilliant SEAP 2001v) and smart monitor (British gas branded Geo IHD) We changed provider to Bulb, so the smart meter is no longer smart, but it was quite happily updating the IHD. That is no longer the case (possibly following on…

Hive / British Gas cancelled appointments and appalling customer service
I had purchased a Hive system to upgrade my current Hive (old generation, not app controlled). After waiting for a coupled of weeks, it was being installed yesterday during 12-6pm. Around 2 pm British Gas called to say that there weren't coming and had cancelled the appointment. I took the day off work (unpaid), kept my…

How to work out amps?
So I'm trying to find out how much energy my tv uses but I'm not having much luck. After reading for 3 hours, there's still one thing I'm not able to find an answer for: I read that I need to multiply the volts for amps which would give me the watts and then work out the price from there but the label behind my tv says…

Rental property - electric radiator
Morning all, I've recently moved into a rented property with 2 storage heaters in the living room and wall mounted electric radiators in the bedrooms. The storage heaters are pretty straight forward (on & off peak plugs, charge overnight, etc). The electric radiators in the bedrooms only have on peak plugs and no option…

Cycling Boiler
We moved into a new build earlier this year and now the weather is getting a bit cooler it is the first time we have really had to pay the boiler and heating system any real attention. We have a modest 900sgft detached house with ten double bank radiators coupled up with an Ideal Logic 35 condensing combi boiler. All new…

SMETS will NEVER work
I live in a 5-storey block of flats in Hove, and the gas meters are all installed in the basement. Due to the amount of concrete between the basement and each flat, SMETS gas meters will never work [the Electricity meters are on each floor next to the flat, so should not be a problem there]. Can a supplier eventually…

Smart meter questions
We've just got a new tariff and part of the contract was that we had to get smart meters installed. We'd wanted them for a while anyway and so decided to make the appointment ourselves for as soon as possible. A friendly gentleman from British Gas came and installed it this morning and was all done within half an hour.…

British Gas smart meter spiking throughout the day
It can spike completely unexpectedly anywhere from few seconds to a few minutes by 10 to 30 times what it should show. Just a while ago, the unit read over 1.4kwh, when it should have around 0.7kwh. I stood there staring at the meter to claw back down but it wouldn't budge and stayed flactuating slightly around the…

Electric usage
Can anyone tell me roughly what would be a normal amount of electric usage in a 4 bedroom house which is all electric and uses storage heating? We live in the north of Scotland and are on total heating total control. We use 3 storage heaters, there's panel heaters in the bedrooms which are rarely on and we have 1 oil…

eon smart meter interrupting the gas supply
I bought a new house 4.5 years ago which came with a Eon smart meter, i have had significant problems with the meter causing an error on my boiler error 133, which means no heating or hot water. The error is listed as the gas supply has been interrupted, ignition has failed or the flame has not been detected. one of the…

final Gas overestimated units used
i submitted my gas and electric meter readings in advance of my last bill from Avro (i was switching as i could get better elsewhere). Avro used the electric readings as this was slighly higher than there predicted, however they didnt use the gas reading and instead charged me for a significantly higher Avro predicted…

AGA, system boiler and combi
I am considering buying a house that has an AGA to heat the water for the taps etc with a separate boiler/ heater for the radiators. I do not want the AGA so I need a new heat source for the water. Should I replace the boiler as well and have a combi fitted or just add a system boiler for the water?. Loft space is not a…

Solar panels-worth it anymore
We were travelling by a newly built estate and my wife suggested we perhaps look into solar panels. I was under the impression that the bubble has burst to get into the market now. We live in a 1962 bungalow and is easterly facing. Any thoughts please.

Unable to Join British Gas rewards?
Hello, Last month after my annual boiler check up the engineer from british gas told us we were eligiable to sign up to British Gas rewards and to just log on to our account and sign up to get offers etc. Sounds easy but everytime I try to sign up I get hit with an "oops, something went wrong, we're having technical…

Toto Energy
EDF emailed me to say they have taken over Toto Energy who have stopped supplying our energy. Do I have to switch to them or can I go elsewhere? I can switch to them online and get a £25 cashback after 3 months but they have already given us a new account number? I have not given them a meter reading yet so as far as I can…
