Unable to Join British Gas rewards?

Last month after my annual boiler check up the engineer from british gas told us we were eligiable to sign up to British Gas rewards and to just log on to our account and sign up to get offers etc. Sounds easy but everytime I try to sign up I get hit with an "oops, something went wrong, we're having technical problems, try again" page. I have triedon various browsers, on the app, different devices and its the same problem each and every time.
I went on a live chat to British Gas and they couldn't help me, they logged an incident but I never heard anything back. Finally got a response on twitter, they said they had changed a setting their end and to try again but its still not working and when I messages back to say so I've been ignored. Tried to call but just can't get through.
The option is there on my account it just fails everytime and british gas don't seem that fussed about helping. I'm grateful I've not got a broken boiler and this whole experiance is really making me rethink my custom with them.
Anyone else have this problem with trying to join rewards or found a way to actually get an issue like this resolved with british gas? If I don't get any further help or response out of them how do I make a complaint that they will actually listen to?
