Smart IHD won't connect?
We moved into a house with an existing British Gas smart meter (Landis +Gyr e470 connected to Trilliant SEAP 2001v) and smart monitor (British gas branded Geo IHD)
We changed provider to Bulb, so the smart meter is no longer smart, but it was quite happily updating the IHD.
That is no longer the case (possibly following on from a brief power cut) - IHD switches on, and is still 'Paired' according to its menu, but nothing comes through to it, and it eventually goes blank (presumably through lack of data).
The HAN light on the e470 is consistently flashing green (whether the IHD is plugged in or not).
Does anyone have similar experience? Is this due to the provider change, the power cut, or something else?
Thanks!

Personally I would stash the IHD in a drawer or cupboard and get readings direct from the meter itself.0

If the HAN is green on the Trilliant hub then its connected, with mine it turns red if the In Home Display is disconnected after a day or two.I now only use the display to check the payment has been updated fortnightly.
If the meters' are ok,it could be a possible a gas meter battery/fault developing, the cold weather can cause problems' to show if the meters external then I personally wouldn't worry about the display it for me has no purpose, it might be possible to detect a faulty appliance however I was surprised how much the heater on the washing machine was drawing. All that can be done is monitor the signal bars' on the display. When it rained the signal bars' dropped on mine leading to message alerts.
Don't bother buying a display on ebay its installer pin paired.0 -
I have the same metering set-up here and had a period of weeks where the IHD stopped showing data. It was left powered on and eventually started working again <shrug>0

Its like that the wan light on the hub is orange and this is an inactive state due to changing supplier. Unfortunately, the IHDs do normally stop working when switching suppliers. I have heard of them continuing to work without a monetary value, but to my knowledge, there is no method to making it work when you have left BG.0

Thing is that it's handy for so many other things eg checking you could be close to using too much power and spikes. Also when leaving the house a quick look will tell you if you've left something on by mistake.
