EDF emailed me to say they have taken over Toto Energy who have stopped supplying our energy.
Do I have to switch to them or can I go elsewhere? I can switch to them online and get a £25 cashback after 3 months but they have already given us a new account number?
I have not given them a meter reading yet so as far as I can tell I am under no obligation to go with them.

If EDF have emailed you to say they've taken over your supply, I would expect you are already with them.
Best bet would be to contact EDF first and get a new statement to see what your current credit/debit is with them.
If you had any credit with Toto, that credit 'should' be on your new EDF account.0
