Will I have to pay the bill if I get it?
I have switched away from Economy Energy and two weeks later it has collapsed. I never got a final bill either from them or from or Ovo who have taken over. Now the question is, if there was any balance outstanding (Which I have no clue if there was or wasn't) can Ovo ask for this money, bearing in mind I never was their…

Gas and Electricity
Sorry if this has been asked before. I am currently with SSE for my gas and electricity (dual fuel) and also have a smart meter. Am I right in thinking that now I have a smart meter with SSE I am tied to them and cannot switch suppliers? If I can switch suppliers, will I need to have their smart meter fitted? Thanks

Trying to get rid of a prepayment meter
I’m completely at the end of my tether and don’t know what else to do. I moved into a new property supplied by Scottish Power in September. After I arrived I discovered it had an electricity prepayment meter which is hugely inconvenient and costs far more than I’ve ever paid for electricity before. I asked for them to…

Wonder if anyone can help we have solar panels on the roof at work and the company that we believe installed has gone but, they were on the roof before we moved in. We don’t get the feed in tariff we thought sun spirit did. Any clue how to reclaim the feed in tariff or see where it is going?? We are a bit stuck where to go!

Scottish Power £20 to switch now
My current tariff ends 30 April. Scottish Power offer £20 to lock in to a new deal before 28 February. But if I switch now, I'll spend more than I save! I calculate my current costs for March/April will be £301.59. And in the new tariff £419.14. That's a 39% price rise!! And also means I'd pay £117.55 more to get £20 back.…

If I switch to a new supplier - say Bulb and put their key…

Failed switch - urgent
Hi, I used Cheap Energy Club before christmas to switch from EDF to British Gas. It took ages, I heard nothing from British Gas, but eventually the 'switch in progress' message disappeared. However, EDF still think I am a customer, and I have now also paid a direct debit to First Utility. What has happened? Could someone…

Octopus want an upfront payment - is this normal?
I've been a customer of Npower for around 6 to 7 years now (I joined them when I moved into my house and I've just never bothered shopping around or comparing prices since). So I've finally decided to switch. The other big suppliers like british gas and the rest all seem to be quite similar in price, but I've noticed a lot…

Stuck with Scottish Power
Hi all, I'm looking for some advice/help/guidance. In April 2018, I tried to change suppliers from Scottish Power, to a challenger energy provider (irrelevant at this point but I think it was bulb) . Unfortunately, in April of 2018, I was unable to move as I was advised that my property was not registered on the national…

Now that they have gone bust am I…

EON PAYG Smart Meters
Hi, This time last week EON installed some PAYG smart meters for both Gas & Electric. Now I was hoping this would mean the end of having to trek down to the post office on a rainy morning to get some credit. I installed the App on my phone and was slightly disappointed to see the App couldn't pick up what my balance was on…
