Hiya I have recently moved 300 miles south. In my previous 3 bed house with no double glazing my over all bill I got down to £57 per month with MSE's cheap energy club' s help. New 2 bed house, 300 miles south, with double glazing I nagged EDF into charging me £65 a month. however, from first bills, it looks as if I will…

Removing BG Pre-pay
Hi, I've just bought a house with British Gas prepay smart meters. I've been told you can't switch these to a new supplier easily? Is this true? Do I have to tell BG to change the meters before I can do this? Can i just try and change provider online and them sort out the meter? Thanks

Also have circulation problems so need it to be warm. Have a large lounge with a staircase out of it and a door into a large hallway with…

Boiler grants, SW for the elderly
Parents in law are in their 70s, would they be eligible for any new boiler grants as theirs has broken down? They do get the state pension but not any benefits such as pension credit. Live in SW - South Glos. Many thanks.

Smart Meters - still work after switching??
Hi, I`ve just switched to EON from British Gas, and I`m keen to get a smart meter. I`ve added myself onto their waiting list, and hopefully will hear something soon. What I wanted to ask people, is what experience have you had with smart meters when switching suppliers? My understanding is that they are now all connected…

British Gas Complaints Procedure
Hi - Smart meters (yay!) - ongoing saga with British Gas about the meters they installed 31 August. Gas one seems ok but electricity? Wellllll. Anyway, long story short I was advised by BG this morning they would open a complaint for me and their procedure was on the website. Can I find it? Nope. Can anyone advise? I'm…

Help Needed With British Gas/Sainsbury's
Hi everyone, Apologies if this isn't the right place to post this, but I could do with some advice. I left my last property 22/01/016 and took photos of the meter readings and sent to Sainsbury's (who I had the fuel supply with). I received a bill for £2500 for a two up one down terrace house. After picking myself up off…

Incorrect Meter Assigned to EDF Account
At the beginning of the month I was notified by EDF that I have been paying for the incorrect meter. In the national database, there are two meters with the exact same address; my flat's meter and the communal hallway's meter. Once this was realised, EDF set about updating the database (Which can take around 28 days). As…

Switching Tips
When switching do not use your actual readings, use ridiculously low readings to get the best deal. This will bring up providers you would not see if you used your actual readings. Use at least three switching sites to confirm the results. Clear all cookies from your browser That will get you the best deal. Hope that tip…

EDF Energy 'slight delay in calculating your final bill'
Switched from EDF 2 months ago. Two weeks before switch date, had regular bill, paid it in full. Switch went through two weeks later. Subsequently regularly get emails saying there's a slight delay in calculating my final bill. Have rung up but no one can give me an answer into roughly how much it is/when it will be known.…

E on - overcharged or uninformed
 WE HAVE BEEN PAYING E ON FOR E7 TARIFF FOR THREE YEARS BUT NEVER HAD STORAGE HEATERS, WE ONLY DISCOVERED THIS OVERPAYMENT WHEN TRYING A SECOND TIME TO CHANGE ENERGY SUPPLIER WITH A LETTER SAYING WE HAD THE WRONG METER TYPE. WITH NO IDEA WHAT THIS MEANT, I SOON FOUND OUT FROM EON THAT THIS WAS BECAUSE WE HAD STORAGE…

A Pay as you use company.
I'm fed up with the company I am with who accept my sending in metre readings then still take an amount way in excess of it. I know the reasons but I want a company that will charge me for my actual use. Are there any such companies and are they competative?

Getting rid of E7 meter - do we have to have a smart meter? (Eon)
We moved to this house a couple of years ago now. It has an Economy 7 meter with two electricity readings (day/night) - God knows why as it's a large detached house with gas central heating!! I had E7 at a flat with night storage heaters and that made sense. I don't understand it here. Anyway, we're currently with Eon who…

Smart Meters
Recently I had a smart meter fitted by my then supplier E-on. Shortly after, I switched to MSE collective fix with British Gas. I was amazed to find out that these smart meters are not standard across the industry. The smart meter fitted by E-on is not supported by British Gas so they don't get any information from it.…
